Mexican week
During our Mexican Week at the end of September, students participated in a variety of activities that allowed them to immerse themselves in Mexican culture. One of the highlights was crafting masks representing native animals like the axolotl, quetzal, and jaguar. This creative activity not only sparked their imagination but also helped deepen their understanding of Mexico’s diverse wildlife and its cultural significance.
The week also featured lessons in traditional Mexican cuisine, with students preparing dishes such as guacamole and agua de limón. They had a great time learning the recipes and tasting their creations. Students also enjoyed learning folkloric dances, connecting with the lively traditions of Mexican music and movement. To enrich their cultural experience, they explored the colors of the Mexican flag and the symbolism behind them through hands-on activities.
Some students even came to school dressed in beautiful traditional Mexican attire, adding to the festive atmosphere of the week. A big thank you to the parents for their support and involvement throughout the event, making it an even more special experience for everyone!
